Mancheng Thesis Award is part of the required course ‘International Political Practice (216B.420)’ for International Relations Major, and has been organized since the first semester of 2013 with the help of Ha Young Sun Foundation. International Political Practice course is an undergraduate thesis presentation course for International Relations Major, and includes thesis proposal presentation, midterm thesis presentation, and final thesis presentation. Through the final thesis presentation, the thesis that has been completed under the supervision of the advising professor is evaluated, and the best one chosen.
The professors participating in International Political Practice course will choose one student per professor and recommend them to the department dean or the International Political Practice course professor as candidates for the award. Of those who have been selected as award candidates, the top three will be chosen by the review committee. Finally, a certificate and a small reward will be given to the three students chosen for their outstanding theses.
Through the thesis writing process under the guidance of the advising professor, we hope that our students transform into creative and knowledgeable individuals through the application of major subject knowledge and practical research.
