A. Withdrawal Application Period
-Unregistered Withdrawal: 1/4 through the course
-Withdrawal after registration: 2/4 through the course
B. Withdrawal Registration Process: Seoul National University Portal Login Academic Affairs Change Student Status Complete Application Print it out Submit it to the Major Office
- As a registered student, one should submit the Leave of Absence (Withdrawal) before completing 2/4 of the coursework.
C. Withdrawal after completing 2/4 of coursework: Leave due to Mandatory Military Service (Copy of the Enlistment Notice should be attached), Leave due to Serious Illness or Surgery (Copy of Diagnostic Report from a Doctor should be attached)
D. Withdrawal Duration: Bachelor’s 6 semesters, Master’s 4 semesters, Doctorate 6 semesters (Military Service Leave of Absence is not included in the withdrawal duration)
E. Leave of Absence Date: The Leave of Absence submitted is valid for one year, and the student can return to school on a semester basis.
Re-register: Student, who had withdrawn previously, returning from a Leave of Absence.

-Complete the re-registration application form and submit it to the Major Office. However, in the case of returning from a Military Service Leave of Absence, submit a military service discharge certificate or resident registration certificate that contains military service records.
-Those who will be discharged after 1/4 of coursework had been completed should register for returning to school within 1/4 of coursework completed (expected discharge certificate, commanding officer re-register recommendation, vacation leave certificate). However, they should be able to attend courses before the 1/4 coursework completion period through vacation leaves from the military (refer to graduation requirements).
