A. Korean examination is conducted as a written examination,
and the exam is prepared and scored by the Academic Affairs Office.
B. Substitution with Oral Examination
For the Master’s or Doctorate program students who have taken the Korean Language Examination and have failed at least once, the advising professor can recommend to substitute it into an oral examination.
C. Exemption of Koran Language Courses
Regular course and seasonal course have Korean Language courses (Korean and Korean Culture 1, 2) that can be taken, and when the student receive above “C-” or “S” grade, they are exempted from the Korean examination. However, these courses will not be included in the credits for major completion.
D. Examination Criteria
Out of a total of 100, Master’s program student should receive over 60, while Doctorate program student should receive over 70.
E. Submission of English Language Scores
Aside from students from English-speaking countries, international students should submit their English scores (TEPS over 701, TOEFL CBT over 227, TOEFL iBT over 86, TOEFL PBT over 567) before submitting their thesis evaluation papers (April for the first semester, October for the second semester).
